Day 7

Our route today was from Flagstaff to Cottonwood AZ.  About 47 miles, 1,000 ft of climbing.   Temps were in the 70s to start but quickly rose to over 100F and the last 20-30 miles we were in the range of 106F – hot!  We rode through Sedona AZ, which is quite majestic, and down a valley along Oak Creek for about 10 miles of riding in relatively shaded roads – a novelty in AZ…

There is a forest fire in the area, so the first few pictures you see will be a bit smoky.
